2 to 3 years
Toddlers have an immense capacity to learn and absorb the world around them. These exciting and curious years are some of the most critical of a child’s development.
Our educators understand this tremendous time in a child’s life and use their skills to support and encourage their growth. With your input, we give toddlers an environment to explore and learn at their own pace.
At William Elliott Nursery School we welcome each toddler with open arms and patience. We know that toddlers are curious, energetic and growing fast. That’s why we take special care to learn about each child and develop an environment that helps them flourish, instead of holding them back.

Benefits for your child
If your child isn’t already attending nursery you may start to notice around the ages of two or three years that your little one is ready to spread their wings a little. Sending your child to nursery or a playgroup can have some positive effects on your little one.
Confidence
Independence comes from being away from their main carers and can nurture your child’s self-confidence as they learn to complete basic tasks by themselves and discover more about life outside of their family unit.
New skills
Nursery can be an exciting new adventure for young children and will nurture a wide range of new skills. From learning to hold a pencil correctly through to developing their emerging numeracy skills.
Responsible
Personal skills such as being responsible for washing their hands before they eat and putting on their own coat and hanging it up by themselves will all be developed at nursery.
Social skills
Nursery is the perfect opportunity for your child to begin forging first friendships. Being surrounded with children of a similar age to themselves and will see the same faces each time they attend nursery.
